Choosing camping gear shouldn’t feel overwhelming. There’s too much marketing hype and not enough honest advice — especially for Australian conditions.

Camp With Nature cuts through the noise. We research and compare hundreds of products so you don’t have to, covering everything from sleeping bags and camping mattresses to cooking gear and camp tips. Whether you’re planning your first trip or your fiftieth, we help you find gear that works at prices that make sense.

Hi, I’m Matt 👋

Matt from Camp With Nature in his Troopy on a camping trip in South Australia

I created Camp With Nature to help Australian campers find gear that actually works — and avoid the mistakes I made along the way.

Like many campers, I started small: a tent, a blow-up mattress, a few kitchen pots, and way too much enthusiasm. Let’s just say I learned most things the hard way.

Over the years my wife and I have camped in tents, trailers, a Troopy, a caravan, and swags. Each setup taught us something new about comfort, gear, and getting a good night’s sleep outdoors. I’ve also got five kids and seven grandkids — so I know exactly what family camping looks like in the real world.

Now I share what we’ve learned — honest gear reviews, buying guides, and tips for camping sustainably across Australia. If it helps you enjoy your next adventure, I’ve done my job.

Camping is about reconnecting with nature and protecting it for the next generation. So get out there and breathe it in.

Why trust Camp With Nature?

Honest reviews based on real research We don’t copy manufacturer descriptions. We analyse hundreds of verified customer reviews, compare specs, and research how gear performs in actual Australian conditions — from the Queensland coast to the Victorian Alps.

Unbiased product comparisons We compare durability, ease of use, weight, and value based on real feedback — not just price. We’re not afraid to call out common complaints when they exist.

Plain English buying guides Our guides break down complex gear decisions into simple, practical advice. No jargon, no fluff — just what you need to know to make a good decision.
